Things don’t always work out the way we draw up the plans. This past Sunday Jacqueline and I were to be enjoying some time with each other and also our daughter’s Katie family in Austin. However a stomach bug laid us both low and the trip was canceled. The good thing was that I got to sit back and enjoy morning worship from a different perspective, a seat in the pew. Bo had the kids helping out with the service with specials and praise thought. Missy did a great job in leading the music and Bo has certainly come a long way in the past year. It was wonderful to see a good turn out and a little humbling to know that things can go on without me. Not that I’m looking for an out any time soon, but one does reach a point in life where they wonder will anyone be here to carry on after I’m gone. The answer to that is a definite yes. After all it was never about me or any one of us, it has always been about the Lord. As long as we keep Christ central in our lives and our worship God will take care of the rest. It’s just nice to see him do it. Thanks to all who work each week to provide a wonderful worship service for our family at First Christian Church.
