We have done dozens of VBS’s, revivals, camps and singings. I have seen several of you born, baptized you, married you and buried loved ones. It has been a rich and full ministry. In some ways the building looks exactly the same and yet we have also managed to move into the 21st century. I remember the parking lot being constructed our first year here. We have brought in new sound and visual equipment, and renovated the fellowship hall. We dedicated the historical marker and celebrated 50 years in the Sanctuary.
It is easy to look back and speak of accomplishments, but I’m not through yet. I also want to look ahead and ask what is next. Just as in our personal lives, a church is never done growing and changing. We need to always ask ourselves what can we do better, how can we reflect Christ to Carthage? So here’s to further ministry and continued work for the Lord.
