We also want to thank Cedar Grove Baptist Church and Paul Cocklin for sharing set up materials with us. That saved us a lot of time and money and everything looked great.
Paul may have had a dangerous journey to share the gospel but 30+ kids had a fantastic journey to hear about it. Everyone commented on what a great group of kids we had this year and how much they got out of all the lessons and activities. The kids learned throughout the week how much God loves them. He loves us and cares for us by sending his son and calls us to share that same message with others. We also had a dedicated staff doing whatever was asked to make the week a success, from the high energy songs led by Missy Shnaper to the crafts led by Dorothy Johnagin, to the activities outside led by Melissa Bailey. The highlight each day was a visit with the apostle Paul (aka Bo Patterson). The kids were divided into oikos groups (Greek for family). The evening started out and ended with each group leader going over the lesson and helping to make the point each evening. Our leaders were Mryle Cariker, Bob Cannon, Anne Jones and Deanna Baker. Everyone had plenty of helpers. A big thanks also to the kitchen crew who provided snacks each evening. We wrapped up the week with a short program presented to the families and a hamburger supper which was a welcome time of fellowship at the end of the week.
